Electrical safety

Before using this kit, check that the circuit supplying your socket has suitable RCD protection. Electrical Safety First recommends at least Type A bidirectional protection and advises upgrading Type AC protection before use

Installation & planning

Each panel measures 176 × 113 cm and weighs 25.5 kg. The supplied AC cable is 5 m long. Check that your chosen location can support the panels, allows a suitable cable route and meets any applicable planning restrictions.

Ballast

If you’re installing the kit freestanding, you’ll need ballast to weigh down the mounting frame and help prevent movement or uplift. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for the required ballast weight and positioning.

Cable protection

If the AC cable runs through an exposed area, split conduit can provide additional protection. Because the plugs and connectors are moulded onto the cable, split conduit can be fitted around it without needing to remove them.
