These ENA-approved plug-in solar kits do not include mounting equipment, giving you the flexibility to choose your own mounting solution while remaining compliant with the UK plug-in solar rules.
Because you’re not tied to the mounting equipment selected by the kit supplier, these kits can be a good option if you have a particular or custom mounting arrangement in mind, or simply want more choice over how and where your panels are installed.
Each kit is listed in the Plug-in Solar category of the ENA Type Test Register and includes solar panels, a microinverter and the appropriate cables, including a 5A UK plug for connection to a suitable socket.
Because mounting equipment is not included, you’ll need to choose a suitable mounting solution separately. Follow any guidance provided by the kit supplier and make sure your chosen mounting equipment is suitable for the size and weight of the panels and can secure them safely in their intended location.
